from the CEO

The City School’s motto is ‘I Am To Learn’ because we understand that learning is limitless and there is always room to acquire more knowledge. Socrates encapsulates our motto perfectly. He said, “To say ‘I know’ is to close one’s mind to knowledge”. We aim to develop each one of our students into true learners - individuals who always seek to broaden their perspective and face life’s challenges head on with courage and conviction.

For us, education is a pursuit that goes far beyond academics. While we aim to help our students excel in the course they are studying, we also hope to instill in them a thirst for learning throughout their lives. At The City School, our teachers, students, and parents work together to realize this goal.

Our Vision

By setting goals and instilling ambition to reach those goals, our students will be confident, content individuals through the acquisition of knowledge, attitudes, and skills.

Our children will grow to be well-rounded, self-assured individuals, capable of navigating complex social and cultural environments in a confident manner.

As our children face challenges throughout their lives they will be able to draw on the guidance and experiences of The City School in order to persevere and make appropriate decisions in the most complex of situations. As lifelong learners. our students will develop into leaders and will be willing to take responsibility for both themselves and for others within their community.

Dr Farzana Firoz is a doctorate holder from University of Staffordshire, UK. She is the Group Chairperson/Managing Director, and founder of The City School Pvt Ltd. Dr Farzana has a deeply held belief in the power of education to transform the lives, attitudes and the prospects of our students. Dr Farzana has made it her mission to create widespread educational opportunities and provide accessible, high quality, learning.

Jahangir Firoz is a graduate of the University of London. He is the Director and Chief Executive Officer of City School Holdings International at the regional office in Dubai, taking care of the operations of over 20 schools across UAE, KSA, Oman, Philippines, and Malaysia.

Aurangzeb Firoz is a graduate of the University of London and, subsequently, Cornell University, USA, where he was awarded an MBA. His primary interests are in the areas of finance, business strategy and operation management.
